Every once in a while we see new trends in NHL ice designs. In recent years, team logos in the red line became a popular trend. This season we have seen two examples of what could become the next trend in ice designs.
Jet Ice has made the ice logos and markings for this year's Winter Classic as well as the Stadium Series games.
The Stadium Series games have a Coors Light emblem inside the center faceoff dot. The Winter Classic center dot was actually a blue snowflake. Could this just be something special for the outdoor games? Could we see this inside arenas as well in the near future. It is hard to say at this point but it does seem like something that could be showing up a lot more in future seasons.
